Each day, students will be separated into teams, where they will be challenged with new concepts to increase logical thinking and number mastery. A combination of remediation and enrichment will be provided. Lessons will be completed and reviewed through team “challenges”. Challenge examples include Bingo, Math Baseball, Sudoku, Equate, Opps, variations of Jeopardy, and Tic-Tac-Toe. Team points will be
tallied daily leading toward weekly goals. Students will have hands on experience using manipulations, such as algebra tiles and fraction circles. Through the rigor of practice and mastery, students will gain confidence and be able to see improvement in their math abilities.
