ABOUT THE BLUE RIDGE SCHOOL
The Blue Ridge School is located twenty miles from Charlottesville, Virginia, home of the University of Virginia. The campus, which comprises nearly 800 acres, lies at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The school is away from busy roads and traffic and has security on campus 24 hours a day.
Campers are housed in double rooms in the school dormitories. Each room comes with inseparable bunked beds, two desks, two dressers and two high speed Internet jacks. The rooms are air conditioned and the temperature can be controlled in each room. Campers are separated in the dorms by age and sex. There is at least one staff coach on each dormitory floor to enhance supervision.
Each day, campers eat in the dining hall for all-you-can-eat dining. The Blue Ridge School staff provides excellent food service that is prepared daily. A salad bar and a sandwich bar are available during lunch and dinner to provide additional options to their daily entrees and sides. A variety of juices, Gatorade, water and milk are available with every meal.
There is an outdoor swimming pool with a water slide to provide some relaxation and off-the-field fun. The swimming pool is located next to the gymnasium which is used for indoor training in case of lightning in the area. Campers are encouraged to bring some sort of indoor soccer shoes or sneakers in case of inclement weather.
The Blue Ridge School Recreation Center is available to us throughout the week. Inside the recreation center is a big screen television with stadium seating, ping pong tables, and a foosball table. The snack bar is also located inside the recreation center which serves pizza slices, snacks, Gatorade, and water.
