Some of the best Northern California cross-country skiing tracks and trails await at Yosemite Park's Badger Pass. Offering visitors access to some of the most beautiful vistas on earth, the Badger Pass® Ski Area is the gateway to a cross-country skiing adventure like no other. Enjoy nearly 350 miles of trails and roads in the park, beginning at Badger Pass, and over 90 miles of marked trails and 25 miles of machine-groomed track. Cross-country track and skating lanes are groomed from Badger Pass to Glacier Point - a 21-mile round trip - and a three-kilometer track is set to the scenic Old Badger Summit. From tranquil, snowy day-trips to overnight cross-country skiing excursions, both the novice and expert alike can create their perfect trip.
Founded in 1970, Yosemite's Cross-Country Ski School provides lessons for all skill levels and also leads ski tours and overnight Northern California cross-country skiing excursions to Glacier Point and the Yosemite backcountry. The center also has rentals for cross-country touring, skate, backcountry and telemark skis, as well as Pulk Sleds for pulling children, snowshoes, and some overnight snowcamping equipment.
