Current research about kids and money demonstrates that there is a lack of communication about money in our schools as well as our homes. At The Money Camp for Kids, young people (ages 10-20) have a chance to examine their thoughts and feelings about finance, uncovering the significance of saving, interest, inflation, stocks, bonds and mutual funds. We provide a camp-like atmosphere where kids can discover what they need to know to create a financial plan for their immediate and distant futures. Through discussion, games, storytelling and role-playing, small groups of campers learn the fundamentals of banking, investing and charitable giving. No classrooms, no rigid guidelines--The Money Camp for Kids enables its participants to develop financial plans that will send them on their lifelong journey through financial literacy to money maturity.
