Metro Parks are ideal places to help you feel one with nature. You can take a stroll on more than 200 miles of trails, enjoy more active pursuits such as biking, canoeing, sledding, and even bring your leashed dog for a leisurely walk in the woods.
There are nature centers, natural play areas, picnic shelters, fishing places, even a climbing wall. Check out these and all the other great things you can see and do from the drop-down of this Activities menu.
Metro Parks’ Nature Adventure Camps are designed to provide Central Ohio youth with the opportunity to discover and experience nature in an engaging, hands-on group setting. Campers will participate in fun outdoor activities, crafts and games. Metro Parks has been offering week-long day camp sessions since 1997. Programs are available for children in preschool through ninth grade.
Metro Parks is offering supervised pre-camp and after-camp activities for selected camp sessions. Sessions are marked with an asterisk in the camp brochure. The hours for this extended care service are 7-8:30am Monday to Friday and 4-6pm Monday to Thursday. Most camps end at noon on Friday, therefore, no after care is provided. The total cost of this service is an additional fee of $30 for the week. Registration for before and after care is an option when registering your child for camp. Extended care will only be available for those who register ahead. There is no drop-in or day-to-day option for this program.
