Summer is an exciting and fun time to be a part of Journey! We’ve got summer camps for all skill-levels and all experience-levels for students ages 7-18.
Our DAY CAMPS are specifically constructed for 7-13 year old to include musical theater instruction, game time, and fun, fun, FUN!!! Each year a new theme is chosen to help showcase students’ new performance skills at the free showcase at the end of the week. Themes have included “Hats off to Broadway,” “Under the Sea,” and lots of great Disney Hits like “Aladdin” and “Aristocats.” Audiences are blown away by the great show! Parents are impressed with the great organization! And students walk away with new friends for life! Join us for a fun-filled summer!
Journey Theater provides engaging and skill-building opportunities for our teens each summer through more “intensive-type” programming.
Students ages 12-18 can learn the “Language of The Bard” by exploring the works of Shakespeare in a specialized drama camp. Understanding the language and getting the pacing of the text allows students to really gain appreciation for these foundational works. They’ll divide up rehearsal time with team games, and stage combat training, then they’ll present a staged showcase at the end of the week.
For those interested in gaining new dance technique or refreshing skills, our Teen Dance Camp is a great option for students ages 13-18. Students will participate in high-intensity, focused classes in three different dance styles including tap, hip-hop, and musical theater and perform a free showcase at the end of the week.
All of the camps are staffed by trained professionals who bring their life-experience and expert skills to our students. Day Camp staff include older veteran Journey students who have a real heart for welcoming new kids into the program and mentoring them in who God created them to be through theater arts education.
