In January 2001, Harmonia School of Music & Art opened its doors with a mission to provide the highest quality of performing arts education to the D.C. Metropolitan Area. For over a decade, Harmonia School has maintained excellence in instruction, providing an artistic environment where students of all ages can enhance their performing arts abilities in one convenient venue with highly qualified, nurturing, and professional faculty.
Music
Harmonia School is proud to be recognized as one of the best music schools in Northern Virginia, boasting a myriad of award winners amongst its students and faculty. Our programs include instrumental and voice instruction in private and group settings. Formal recitals, in-house competitions, jury evaluations, and theory classes motivate students and enhance their musical studies. Our theory classes prepare students for the NVMTA (Northern Virginia Music Teachers’ Association) and ABRSM (Royal School of Music) exams.
Drama
Exciting things are always happening in Harmonia’s Drama Department. We offer musical theatre classes for every age and level. Each musical theatre session culminates in a colorful showcase. Experienced actors can expand their skills in advanced theatre classes as well as a full-scale Main Stage production each spring. Performances are always open to the public.
Arts to Go!
Harmonia School offers music, art and, theater for local public school, private schools and home-school students with our program Arts to Go! We offer both daytime and after-school classes-we will arrange courses and schedules on a case-by-case basis, developing an extracurricular arts program built for your unique academic environment. Each course concludes with a performance or gallery showing- to highlight students’ progress throughout the session. Through partnering with your faculty, parent organizations, students, we hope to enrich the learning experience through artistic exploration.

Rediscover the things you love or learn something new! Consider Harmonia School’s music lessons for adults. We offer group and private lessons in guitar, piano and voice. Whether you are a new student or rediscovering an old talent, Harmonia’s experienced faculty has the expertise to work with adults in many areas. Their encouragement helps adult students develop the necessary basics in a fun, yet challenging manner.
