Galaxy Robotics is offering this active, hands-on workshop teaching robot design, robot skills, component selection, gearing, team building, and robot programming. Using the VEX Design System, a system that is widely used for more sophisticated competitive robots in STEM educational programs (www.vexrobotics.com), students will be placed on a robot building team of only three students per robot and design and build their own team robots. Not only will campers learn to build robots in a friendly and fun environment, but they will also have the option of buying their robot to take home.
