The Mound Foundation was incorporated in August 1983 and is governed by nine trustees. Its purpose is to keep the original character of the site, promote and encourage educational, scientific, and historical interests, and to maintain and secure The Mound. Funds to accomplish this come from donations and from the Town's Community Support Program. Providing quick and convenient access to the cities of Dallas and Forth Worth, DFW International Airport, and numerous recreational opportunities, Flower Mound has emerged as the best place in North Texas to live, work, and play.
