Our Florence fashion design program is for students of all academic backgrounds and levels interested in studying fashion design with some of the best experts in the field, graduates of Italy’s top fashion schools. This program is for those who are excited about immersing themselves in the Florentine culture and lifestyle, learning in an interactive, engaging way, and exploring Italy as savvy visitors, rather than tourists.

Fashion Design
Using the Italian fashion industry as a model, students are introduced to the different workings and inter-relationships of various industries and services that compose the fashion business. From textile design and accessories to haute-couture and prêt-a-porter, students will explore the many aspects of the Italian fashion industry. Visits to design studios, fashion exhibits and creative projects, introduce students to the industry first hand. The course looks at how trends are evaluated, fabrics are selected and final products find their way from the drawing board to the runway and clothing racks.
