Students entering grades 7-10 will learn, perform, and grow musically; experience the beauty and recreation of the Finger Lakes; and form enduring friendships with students from near and far.
Students choose one program – Brass, Classical Guitar, Jazz, Strings, or Voice – which include master classes, ensembles, and individualized coaching, and are led by distinguished faculty from the Eastman School of Music, the Eastman Community Music School, and members of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. All students also participate in electives such as theory, improvisation, chorus, and Dalcroze Eurhythmics.
In addition to rigorous musical curriculum, students will enjoy recreational activities such as swimming, hiking, campfire singing, and lawn sports (volleyball, Frisbee, soccer, etc.).
Applicants should have completed at least 2-years of prior music study and have a desire to intensively study and make music daily.
