One mother had a wish to create a place in Upstate South Carolina where children would be inspired and learn in a hands on environment. In December 2003, local benefactors donated the former Greenville County Library building and plans for The Children’s Museum of the Upstate began to take shape. On July 31, 2009 this one of a kind educational attraction opened on the cultural campus of Heritage Green in downtown Greenville.
