Camp St. Raphael is very excited about our twelfth year. As you may know, we will be running our program at the YMCA Camp Takatoka. This ACA (American Camping Association) approved camp is located on Lake Fort Gibson, approximately one hour east of Tulsa. It is owned and operated by the YMCA of Greater Tulsa. The YMCA staff has been very welcoming to us and is accommodating our needs and requests. Many of their staffing personnel will be on hand to run certain programs such as the ROPES course, many aquatic activities, and cooking meals during our stay. Camp St. Raphael will be selecting staff such as the counselors that stay with and teach your children as well as staff to manage our own programs.
Camp St. Raphael is being developed by many caring and trusted people of the Diocese of Wichita and Mid-America. Currently we have no central office, but are working out of a private residence. We ask that any questions or comments NOT be directed to the YMCA office but rather to someone in your parish.
