CCBC Children’s Center is a warm, nurturing and caring community that is a wonderful place for both children and parents. People make life-long friendships here. I was actually an editor for many years, but stopped work to stay home with my young children. When asked by a friend if I would be willing to help out in a classroom for a few months after one of the teachers had to leave mid-year, I agreed. That was 25 years ago and I’ve loved every minute at CCBC ever since. Our devoted teachers are dedicated to providing a stimulating and interesting environment that encourages curiosity and creativity and that builds on the children’s interests. It’s a real pleasure to see the children bound in each morning to see what the teachers have planned for them and I’m pleased to know that in their planning they had the whole child in mind. Children and parents come back to visit long after graduation, because they have such fond memories of the teachers, staff and experiences at CCBC.
