BASEcamp is the summer camp version of Bachman's famous learning philosophy and offers students a unique, important experience as they develop into functioning adults.
At BASEcamp, the campus is our classroom. With 210-acres, the options are limitless. Our dedicated and fantastically trained staff is a top reason why we excel. Our facilities, including outdoor fun at the pool and the large lake, offer fantastic opportunity for learning and personal development.
Students at BASEcamp choose two classes from our slate of courses, which they will take during each day of the program. Classes are small, and feature hands-on learning. Classes are short, intensive, activity- and project-driven, and designed for our target students and their learning capabilities.
BASEcamp serves students with learning differences, like Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Nonverbal Learning Disorder (NLD), and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder/ Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD, ADD), who learn best in a non-traditional environment that is challenging, achievement-oriented and individualized. The typical Bachman student is of average to above average intelligence.
Mission: The mission of BASEcamp is to empower students who have learning differences to develop the skills and values necessary for success in our global community.
