The new 2013 Arizona Family Campout Program at Dead Horse Ranch State Park in Cottonwood, AZ is designed for families that have little or no experience camping and playing outdoors.
The program will introduce you to the great experiences you can share with your family and inspire you to continue to explore the great outdoors!
You will learn to navigate with a map and compass, to fish in our lagoons, and to set-up your own campsite. You will have an opportunity to perhaps ride a horse, mountain bike a dusty trail, or learn to use a bow and arrow (or a catapult). You'll learn about nutritious outdoor cooking (and eating!), take part in a fun service project, and relax listening to traditional cowboy music alongside a roaring campfire.
